Assignments

Campmaster

the single focal point for a trip, responsible to see that all planning aspects for the trip are complete. That is not to say that they must do everything themselves but that they ensure that everything is done. The Journeymaster role will manage travel logistics and tour permit. These two roles should never be done by the same person on a single trip (causes insanity). The Campmaster will see that site reservations are made, permits, releases, medical forms or other requirements completed, and activities planned. They will also ensure that any required resources are in place and, as required, troop meeting activities leading up to the event prepare the troop. The Campmaster should work with the Scouts as much as possible to accomplish their task. The ideal would be for Scouts to do everything and the Campmaster act as an advisor. One should not have to be Campmaster for more than one trip a year. We will have Campmasters for summer camp trips as well.

Journeymaster

coordinates travel logistics, recruit/draft drivers, collect permission slips and medical forms, and files the tour permit with the council office.
